Recipe URL Importer

Import recipe details from almost any recipe URL and open them directly in your LinkMyRecipes template.

Import from URL

Paste any recipe URL and we'll extract title, ingredients, and steps into your recipe template.

How this calculator works

The URL importer fetches a recipe page and reads structured recipe metadata (commonly JSON-LD). It extracts core fields like title, description, ingredients, and instructions, then maps them into your app's recipe template format.

Imported results are shown in an editable preview before you continue, so you can quickly clean up ingredient formatting, remove noisy steps, or add missing details. This keeps your saved recipes consistent with the rest of your collection.

After import, one click opens the standard recipe editor pre-filled with the imported data. You can immediately assign collections, link people, set visibility, and save as a normal first-class recipe.

FAQ

Will this work with every recipe website?

Most modern recipe pages work, especially those that publish schema.org Recipe data. Some sites may block scraping or have incomplete metadata.

Can I edit before saving?

Yes. The tool lets you edit title, description, ingredients, and steps before opening the recipe template.

Does this auto-publish recipes?

No. Imported recipes open in your normal editor as private by default, so you stay in control before saving or sharing.
